With pre-existing details acting as ample features on their own, a minimalistic approach is taken to update this weatherboard villa. A new addition connects respectfully to the existing dwelling, creating a distinct separation between old and new.

With the existing structure largely retained, a connective hallway opens up into an open-plan living space. A playful gabled form nestles itself adjacent the existing pool, as it protects the outdoor lounge area from the elements. Openings are carefully considered to maximise the site's solar orientation, allowing our clients to enjoy comfortable living all year round.
